SUTHERLAND NORTH COAST - UNPAID CARERS PROJECT

 

MELVICH to SCOURIE

The Unpaid Carers Project offers support to Unpaid Carers along the North Coast of Sutherland, from Melvich in the East to Scourie in the West. We aim to provide supported access to services, working closely with partnerships and a strong community network. The project will overcome the feelings of isolation by offering advice, information and support.

​

We will also increase the availability of Personal Assistants along the North Coast by promoting the role as an employment option, designing a Recruitment Programme, supporting training and governance and also offering ongoing support. This will offer local, flexible assistance through a central database, offering suitability and reassurance to individuals looking to manage their own social care and support services.
